Week 11: Eight Enter, Four Leave

Let's get right to it.

Gary Workman Weekly Power Rankings

1. Fully Supported Troops -- 6-4 (W3)

The league's eyes should all be on the Troops' matchup this week, as they have a chance to send Everybody's Favorite Mully to the shadow lands. More on that in a bit.

With a combined 236 points over the last two weeks, Ty withstood a pedestrian Dalvin week with a Sanders, Succop, and one hell of a Chubb.

Everything this guy has thrown out the last few week sticks, including a Jakobi Myers start. Weird that since abandoning his blind loyalty to the Jerry cult, his team has gone demonstrably better.

There remains in our great league three owners who have yet to reach the Rendletop, those being Ty, Steve and Jacques. I asked a couple league members one summer night a few years back if we should start awarding jackets a la The Masters for the champ. To which Pat simply replied, "I mean we could, but then we'd just be a bunch of dicks in green jackets."

Not my best idea, but if we did, three of you fuckers would feel really shitty not having a Goodwill green blazer.

Two of our Rendlevirgins are in contention for a title, while the third is... not. For now. Ty's road continues this week, let's see if his stellar play continues.

2. Ready for A Full Load -- 8-2 (W1)

Down in the Cajun's power rankings last week, Load surprised Glenn's with a money shot last week in the form of 107 points, further building on the theory that drafting near the end of the first round is best.

His two-headed monster of Henry and Kamara has driven his team all year, and his two QB's have a chance to finish 1-2 in MVP voting. But we've been down this road before with Southie's newest gambling fiend.

The question has to be asked: is Pat's team too good? Some might be reminded of 2017, when his team steamrolled to a regular season title, only to lose in the playoffs to T-Rav by less than one point. For all the talent he has, if he doesn't stay on top of injury reports, RB handcuffs, and maybe most important, make sound lineup decisions when it counts, it could be another Harden-like year for the Guest of the Month at Encore Boston Harbor Casino.

3. Glenn's -- 6-4 (L1)

A tough loss last week to the Load, but Glenn's continues his consistent play week in and week out with a stable of RB's, some rejuvenated play from Diontae Johnson, and depth that rivals anyone in the league.

I'll be interested to see which direction the Cajun goes at QB now that Brees had a full rack of ribs shattered. Part of me hopes he takes a flyer on Jameis? I'd be lying if I wasn't thinking about it myself, no better way to torture myself every Sunday morning by choosing between a disheartened Lamar or Salsa Jameis.

Key matchup this week between two former roomies with Glenn's v. Rowdy Rhinos. Jacques will try to keep hold of his grip on a playoff spot, while Sloan has pulled himself from the shadow depths before dropping one last week. It's getting to be that time.

4. Fighting NRCA's -- 4-6 (W1)

That's right, we're in there baby. After a big W to breathe some life into our prep school-goers over T-Rav, we're feeling like Jack Nicholson in the Shining *peeks face through*.

After hitching my wagon to Kyle Shanahan much of the year, I get a brief reprieve this week as they're on bye, and there's hope Mostert returns after. I have a Steeler receiver who isn't a disappointment, and Jacobs and Clyde (seem to be) ramping up. We've got a shot, and that's all we've ever wanted.

5. Rowdy Rhinos -- 4-6 (L1)

Let me be clear about this ranking: I think I'd like Sloan's team more than mine most weeks, but it's where he falls in the rankings for this week due to dropping one to the Troops.

Still, he's won four out of his last five, and remains a clear playoff contender. Notching a win against Glenn's this week and tightening the playoff race even further would be a victory for the Rhinos, and for parity as we come down the stretch.

The Rhinos have exhausted all but one dollar in their waiver budget in this push. Led by Kelce and Hill but cobbling together points weekly from Justin Jefferson, McKissic, Duke Johnson, and whoever's next to be picked up a-la Toy Story claw by the Rhinos.

One anecdote: I always see Sloan is the first to drop people Tuesday morning. And although I can't prove it gives him an advantage, I think it does. You can't tell me otherwise.

6. Coach Without A Season -- 5-5 (L3)

A tough week for Coach, but he remains in sole position of the 4th seed in the playoffs. Trivia time, that's where he's won both his titles, so some might say he's right where he wants to be.

A swoon from Mr. Neutral himself, Russdiculous has made the last couple weeks a bit tougher, but Hopkins and Deandre Swift seem to be trending upward. The Coach is holding on tight to that Dobbins chip, hoping to cash it in at the table at the right time, and I can't say I blame him.

He faces Load this week, which would make the fight for the 1 seed a lot more interesting. Having Allen Robinson on bye hurts, but I'll be interested to see if T-Rav makes a play for a WR, using up some of that budget he has left.

7. Demi-God Among Bots -- 4-6 (W1)

A bigly week for the Demi-Gods with the Buffalo table smashers on bye. We'll see how our commish adjusts, with a potential loser-leaves town on the board with Demi-God vs. NRCA's this week.

I know we usually do have one 7-7 team make the playoffs, if not more, but only GRINDERS want to their backs against the wall to where they can't lose their last three games. We'll see if Steve's got a hard hat somewhere in those foam cubes.

Can Steve take out some of his own? That North Raleigh blood runs deep. Don't ever tell me I wasn't forward-thinking in my team name.

8. Revenge of Cobb's Bubble Route -- 3-7 (L1)

As previously mentioned, if it were ever a time for a pep talk for Kevo's boys, this might be the week. Backs against the wall, ROCBR needs a big-time week to start the comeback to try to go 2-for-2 with Randall Cobb as his namesake.

No question Kev has taken some flyers on players, but his core remains strong, if they all play and up to their ability. Of course, that's the nature of fantasy football.

A loss this week, and we begin to really start staring at the possibility of another Mully for its namesake. What an opportunity for the boys. Your team owner needs you.
