A Statement from the Bragging Rights 2020 League Champion

VICTORY

Ready for a Full Load is satiated through the efforts of Alvin, Mike, and Co.

---

“I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I can say: It is to wage war, by land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be.”

 Winston S. Churchill

While some may argue that the above quote was in reference to World War II, many scholars within the Ready for a Full Load organization believe Churchill was foreshadowing the perilous fantasy football season that 2020 would deliver and the great sacrifice that would be necessary to escape the fray, victory in hand. A year unlike any other in the league history of Bragging Rights, we all had to make difficult sacrifices before the season even began. This was to be a season fraught with uncertainty.

Would home-field advantage still exist?

Would Josh Gordon fail a drug test?

How many players would be unavailable each week due to COVID exposure or injuries relating to lack of offseason conditioning?

Would our organization return to the mountaintop and claim a second championship?

Could we achieve the distinction we’ve been chasing for several years, the elusive Full Load?

For reference, the Full Load is an achievement that has not been attained in Bragging Rights history. In a single season, claiming each of the below:

-Regular Season Title

-Scoring Title

-League Championship

In 2016, our organization won the Regular Season Title and League Championship, narrowly missing out on the scoring title.

In 2017 & 2018 each, we claimed the Regular Season Title and the Scoring Title, falling short of putting our names on the Rendleman.

In 2020, after years of dreaming for a Full Load, our organization can sleep soundly this offseason, satisfied beyond imagination with the spoils of victory.

It’s been an honor and a privilege to kick each of your ass’s this season. There isn’t another collective of men I’d rather bully for 16 weeks each year, I sincerely mean that.

Looking forward to The Summit already.

-Patrick
